How To Calculate Your Departmental Cut-off Mark

You can calculate your aggregate score in 3 simple steps

Step one

Divide your JAMB score by 8 Example: 200 ÷ 8 = 25

Step two

Divide your Post UTME screening score by 2 Example: 57 ÷ 2 = 28.5

Step three

Sum up the 2 scores together 25 + 28.5 = 53.5

Now, 53.5 is your aggregate mark which you can use to compare with the departmental cut-off mark. Always remember that the higher your score, the better chances you stand.

Here is How the Slots are Shared

  • ELDA (Educational Less Developed Area): Gets 20%
  • National Merit: Gets 10%
  • State Merit: Gets 35%
  • Catchment: Gets 35%
